day 8: sicky-poo

i was really sick today, so i was really cold. therefore, i wore lots of layers. here 'tis:

SHIRT: a really cool thin white shirt made of floaty cotton. it makes me feel really peaceful when i wear it.

SHAWL: the same one i wore yesterday.

SKIRT: the one i wore to that bday party as a dress.

SHOES: my moccasinns.

plus a single *LOVE* earring, and of course, my glasses.

i just realized how dull this blog is. wow.

day 7: psychedelicanism

in case anyone is reading this blog who doesn't kno me (shudder), i am a complete and utter hippie wannabe.
that is what inspired this outfit.
the pictures will be up this weekend (i hope)!

PANTS: brown ones with big pink flowers, slightly loose. mini boden.

DRESS: a SUPER AWESOME white dress with pictures of industrial suburbia in purple. my mommzy got it at a flea market in london, but a bunch of people told me that its from H&M. The straps are white rope and they tie in a bow in the back.

SCARVES: around my waist, a fuzzy orange scarf that my fairy godmothers knit me, and around my forehead a floaty yellow scarf with flowers on it.

SHAWL: a babyblue poncho-shaped shawl that goes almost to my knees. my friend's grandma crocheted it for me.

PS: i found my glasses!

dreads

im almost ready to donate my hair. after i do, i'm gonna grow it into dreads and dye them multi-colored. its gonna be FABULOUS!

day 6: so sry!

i am soooooooo sorry i forgot to blog yesterday. the thing is, i can't really fix it; i forgot what i was wearing. friens who read my blog: please tell me!
also: my friend wango says that my blog is a bit monotonous. this is very true. please give suggestions about what i could do to make it cooler! my goal is to beat tavi.
here's what i was wearing today:

SHIRT: this really cool transparent black shirt with bubble sleeves and pink trim. its very vintage. i wore it with a black camisole. it was a bday present from my first 2 moms.

SKIRT: also a bday present from the moms: a cool polyster skirt that zips all the way from the bottom to the top.

SHOES: my blue suede shoes (ok, they're boots). i LOVE 'EM! they were an xmas prezzy a couple years ago.

ACCESSORIES: a headband w/ real peacock feathers on it, with an attached 1900's-ey face veil. shmexy!
also, black suspeneders with white peace signs on them that wango gave me as a belated bday prezzy. fabulous! i heart them, wango.

wow, i just realized how many presents people give me.

day 3 (cont) and day 4-apple picking

so: last night i went to see 13 the musical. i wore:
my pink and purple dress, which i wore on day 1, along with the scarf around the waist i also wore on day 1. i wore ratty old white shoes, and my hat-glasses.

today, i started out with a recycled cotton tank that says: *save the earth, its the only place with chocolate" and polka dotted blue short shorts. i wore my fedora hat and, of course, my glasses.
but my mom said i'd be cold apple picking, so i changed into: green cordoroys, really cool polyester blue-brown-orange-green paisley shirt, and a cool fuzzy scarf that my fairy godmothers made me tied around my waist. i also wore:
a recycled bracelet made out of a doctor pepper can that i stole from my mom, mandalah-ish lacy earrings, and a feather-shaped faux ivory earring in my third piercing. of course, i kept the hat and glasses. i am IN LOVE with that hat.

i know that this blog entry is formatted differently from the others. actually, i just noticed that. but ive already written it, and i'm not going to rewrite it.

GOOD NEWS

all, or most, of the outfits i have described to you will be photographed and posted once i get my friggin camera to work.
HOORAY!

day 3: photo shoot

ok, so:
today me and my bff leila went to my house and did a photo shoot with my clothes which are awesome and her clothes which are so awesome that she never wears them.
i won't tell you all of the outfits that we wore, because the photos will be up on the site in a week or so.
here's what i started out with:

HAT: my cool black fedora hat, which, when combined with my glasses, shirt, and tie (see below), made me look like annie hall turned vaudville comedian. it was exxxxxxxxellent.

SHIRT: a slightly yellowed white collared shirt which i call my austin powers shirt, because its got lots of funnu 70's frills on it.

TIE: a mint green paisley tie which is surprisingly not ugly. (although i do have a passion for ugly ties). i inheireted the tie from my dad; i inheireted all my ties from him. he hates ties; he gave me all of his except for the ones that were his dad's, which he doesn't wear, but keeps for sentimental value.

SKIRT: a slightly poofy, long skirt which is dark purple with light purple polka dots. leila has the same skirt in brown.

SHOES: my most amazingest shoes ever: my bright yellow lace-up dr. martins. THEYRE AMAZING!

stay posted for the pics. THEY'RE GONNA BE FANTABULOUS!

ARG!!!!!!

ok, so i have the camera. i took a bunch of really cool pictures. i uploded them onto my computer.
BLOGGER WON'T TAKE THEM!!!
"your pictures are in a corrupted or unrecognizable format."

AAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Day 3-central park

it was my brothers' birthday today, so we went to the hippo park-my favorite playground in central park.
i wore:

DRESSSKIRTTHING-a long multicolored skirt worn as a dress.
source: the children's place, when i was 8. i loved it so much that my mom went and got it in a bigger size for when i got older. they don't sell it anymore.

PANTS-light blue cordory (did i spell that right?) pants with big navy polka dots, a sgt. pepper's patch i ironed on myself.
source: the pants are from mini boden, the patch is from a trip (no pun intended) i took to haight-ashbury.

SCARF-the same scarf i've worn for 3 days in a row, just around my neck.
source: hand-me-down from my mom, like a lot of my scarves.

SHOES-dirty old shoes i once wore for 2 weeks in a row. of course, i took them off as soon as i got there.
source: im not sure where i got them, but i'm pretty sure they're from payless. most of my shoes are.

JEWELRY-
*little dice earrings, a present from my crazy relatives.
*button that says "peace junkie", a birthday present.

day 2-tgif!

ok, so i had a really cool outfit this morning, but it became ten times cooler when a friend of mine gave me a brand-new black fedora hat as a present. heres the total outfit:

DRESS: its a slighty low-cut, white dress with ribbon trim and red paisley.

BELT: faux red suede, with lots of holes in it.

SCARF/CAPE: the scarf i wore yesterday, tied around my neck, draped over my shoulder like a cape.

HAT: black bowler hat that my friends said made me look like charlie chaplin.

GLOVES: orange gloves that i cut the fingers off of this morning.

JEWELRY: pom-pom necklace, pin that says "peace junkie", big red heart-shaped earrings.

and of course, my glasses.

halloween

of course, with halloween approaching, creative costumes are on everyone's minds. i have 2 costumes: one for halloween night and one for my school's halloween party. here they are:

for my school's halloween party, me and 2 of my friends are gonna be peace, love, and happiness. im gonna be peace. im gonna wear a giant cardboard peace-sign headdress, long blue tie-dyed dress that i will make myself, no shoes, long white wig with a crown of daisies, peace-sign earrings.
for actual halloween night, im gonna be a decora. for those of you who aren't obsessed with harajuku fashion from the last millenium, decora is a style that was popular in the late 80's early 90's in harajuku, tokyo, and still exists today. it involves pink hair, lots of piercings, really bright colors, hello kitty, strawberry shortcake, lots of miniskirts and knee socks worn at the same time, etc. the basic idea is to accessorize to the point of insanity. its girliness, taken one too far. its really cool. click here for an example.

oh, and i forgot.

i wear faux perscription round glasses that are suppossed to look like john lennon's glasses, but which a lot of people say make me look like the tootsie pop ow.
when i grow up i will have an owl and name him/her lennon.

day 1: Yom Kippur

since today is yom kippur, and since i had to go to temple, i wore a rather boring outift to start with:
flowy polkadotted purple skirt, embroirdered shirt w/ mirrors on it. after shul, i changed into:

A DRESS- the dress is purple, pink and red and looks like the colors are little amoebas spilled all around a white background. its a hand me-down from my mom, who gave it to me cuz it was too big for her (go figure).

A SCARF- i own like, 50 scarves. This one is sparkly and tie-dyed green brown and yellow, with fringe on the ends. I am wearing it around my waist, because the dress is so long that it needs to be bunched up around the waist to make it shorter.

SHOES- im not actually wearing shoes right now, but i know which ones i will wear when i leave. They are my fringed suede moccasin boots. There are little snaps on the boots that can enable you to snap on either little grey feathers or colorful beads. right now they have the beads.
